These works begin with the shadows cast by George Alamidis’s bird sculptures. Captured and digitally manipulated, the shadows are transformed into clip masks, then cut into plywood using a laser. What remains are ghostly, abstracted fragments — traces of a form no longer present. Assembled or suspended in space, these shapes evoke absence, memory, and the fragile imprint of life. They continue Alamidis’s exploration of ecological residue, extending drawing into sculptural dimension.
